GK - Kamryn Knaub
The Port Washington goalkeeper earns her spot after a tremendous week in net. The sophomore clocked 15 saves and an assist against Kettle Moraine Lutheran. Her next game against West Bend ended with a shutout win with 12 saves.
D - Kennedy Ebben
Ebben returns to playing high school soccer with Kimberly and is off to a tremendous start to the season. The junior center back scored one goal while helping the Papermakers to a 3-0 record during the week with 2 shutout wins.
D - Mia Ozanne
The Madison West Regents center back earns our player of the week! Mia Ozanne scored 3 goals in 4 games played to go with lock down defense. Facing top quality opponents like Middleton, Muskego, and Bay Port, allowing just 1 goal all week (to a Muskego free kick) is truly impressive.
D - Alex Burkemper
The senior wingback for Pewaukee fills out our defense. Burkemper scored off a header and allowed 1 goal all week in a draw to top ranked Germantown and a clean sheet against Waukesha North.
M - Amara Leppla
Leppla finds herself in our Best X11 once again. The senior midfielder for Arrowhead scored a hat trick with 2 assists in a dominant victory over conference rivals Mukwonago. She earned the player of the match for her performance.
M - Lyla Brown
The midfielder for Portage/Poynette has been a key contributor so far this spring. The Warriors played 4 matches and won 3 of them. In those games, Brown scored 13 goals and had a hat trick in all 4 games to cap off an amazing week.
M - Alayna Voung
Voung is a bright spot on a Sun Prairie West team that has faced some struggles early on this season. The junior midfielder scored 6 goals and dished out 2 assists on the week, including a game that tied the school record for most goal contributions in one game with 7.
M - Taavi Saeger
Saeger is the leader of our top ranked D3 team, Kiel. Her hat trick versus Oostburg featured some impressive goals, including one that was placed perfectly in the top corner.
F - Mya Schroeder
The sophomore striker for Ozaukee/Random Lake consistently finds ways to fight through defenses that put all effort towards her, often having to deal with multiple defenders at once. Despite the challenge, she still managed to score 5 goals and 2 assists on the week.
F - Mary Stith
The forward for DSHA came off the bench and sparked a massive 3 goal comeback in their opening conference matchup at Germantown. She scored the first 2 goals in that game for the Dashers as they clawed back to earn a point in a 3-3 draw. She also scored 1 in their victory over Waunakee later during the week.
F - Kate Dwyer
The Sun Prairie East forward earns our final spot this week by scoring 4 goals with 3 assists. Her hat trick allowed the Cardinals to cruise to a win against Madison East. She then scored 1 goal with 3 assists in the Sun Prairie Derby, seeing them take their first ever victory over Sun Prairie West.
What a great week it was for soccer. We needed you all to show more love for your defenders and y’all certainly delivered. Great job and let’s keep it up for weeks to come!
