Week 9 - Regionals

Oct. 20 - 26

Ghio Puga - Sauk Prairie - Goalkeeper

Puga gave up zero goals during both regional games. He played in a 7-0 victory over Reedsburg in the first round and a 0-0 draw against Monona Grove, including a shootout save to send Sauk Prairie to sectionals.

Cade Mansfield - Hortonville - Defender

A center back for the Polar Bears, Mansfield led his defense to allowing zero goals during regionals. He also created a chance that led to the game winning goal over Green Bay Preble in the regional final.

Blake Schmitt - Marquette - Defender

The UW-Milwaukee commit helped the Spartans allow zero goals in during regionals. He also scored two goals while assisting two others.

Augie Andriusis - Marquette - Defender

The full back for earned player of the week honors for the Hilltoppers. Played a good role in helping MUHS beat Kenosha Tremper by a score of 6-0.

Mihajlo Marinkovic - Franklin - Winger

Marinkovic helped the Sabers make it to sectionals by clocking five goals across the week.

Liam West - Notre Dame - Midfielder

This key leader and playmaker earns our Player of the Week! West scored 8 goals with an assist to push the Tritons to 2 dominant regional victories. They look to advance to the state tournament next week.

Akram Madongo - Living Word Lutheran - Midfielder

A senior leader and critical piece to this TWolves squad, Madongo scored 6 goals to lead Living Word Lutheran to an upset victory over #1 Ripon as the #8 seed.

Jacob Kopec - Waukesha North - Forward

Kopec scored 2 goals and had 1 assist while helping the North Stars to their first regional title in 14 years.

Wilson Foueppe - Madison East - Forward

The Purgolder forward scored 4 goals with an assist lift Madison East to another sectional appearance. He scored 2 goals against Mukwonago, including a final minute overtime goal to win the game.

Louie Rowe - Madison West - Forward

In his first season as a striker, Louie Rowe has impressed big time. This week is no different. He scored 8 goals this week, including a 4 goal performance against Sun Prairie East in the regional final.

Jacob Stauner - Amery - Forward

Stauner played a key role in helping #8 seed Amery to make an unexpected run. He scored 2 goals in the first round against #1 seed Columbus Catholic and another goal against #5 seed Northland Pines—not to mention his contributions on Tuesday against #9 seed Cumberland.
