Kimberly Strike Crucial 3-2 Win Over Appleton North

Kimberly girls high school soccer head coach, Andrew Sutton, gives his input on their 3-2 victory over conference rival Appleton North.
The Papermakers started the game strong. Opening with the game’s first goal within the first 10 minutes, they then scored 2 more goals throughout the first half. However, Appleton North were unwilling to give in so easily; The Lightning quickly scored 2 goals of their own just minutes before the break.
Sutton had to think quickly to reassure his team that they were in control. He told his girls that they were still winning and had done better offensively in one half than most team have done throughout an entire match. His encouragement worked, and Kimberly held on to their 3-2 lead to capture a crucial win in the Fox Valley Association.
This victory continues their undefeated start to the season featuring a perfect 10-0 record. They’re set to face Waunakee next at home on Saturday, May 9th at 11:00am.
